Picture Perfect

Today we celebrate the birth of Andres Bonifacio which dates back to  1863, he is considered to be the father of Philippine Revolution against Spain and our national hero. As we take time to relax in the comforts of our home, we reflect on the modern day revolutionaries fighting a different war.

Globalization has set a lot of changes in a fast growing society influencing millenials (those born 1984 to present) while generation x (aka baby boomers are people born 1965-1984) cope up with the new set of standards, specially when we speak of efficiency, effective and quality education. Recently the Commission on Higher Education conducted an Institutional Sustainability Assessment and Outcomes Based Education training workshop for educators to properly guide the young in their chosen field of study,  making them able to compete in the international scene by way of promoting a quality educational system in the country through borderless education. Teachers are our modern day revolutionaries  and professionals are in demand in the academe as the need for better skills and experienced aka practitioners of specialized fields are considered to be the best source of actual learning.
The three day training gave a better picture of our educational system in comparison with other asean countries and has equipped the educators   knowledge and strategies to be at par with the 21st century generation y.

We also have the social influencers better known as bloggers who recently participated in the photo exhibit presented by the Department of Tourism in partnership with SM City Bacolod. This weeklong exhibition started over the weekend with no less than DOT Regional Director Helen Catalbas gracing the affair.  The photo exhibit is in two parts , started with teh Images of Western Visayas as a Sports Tourism Destination  followed by the Images of Landmarks and Culinary Tourism in Western Visayas managed by Micro Soph Management headed by Mr. Toots Jimenez , a DOT accredited events organizer.

This photo exhibit is composed of pictures shot by bloggers and photographers like Ed Joven, DhaDha Garcia, Besty Gazo, Mea Pabiona, Kathy Villalon, Maria Sigrid Lo, Jennylind Cordero and Flozard Gedalanga.
