Trailing Talisay

Hot summer days would mean its about time to visit places, have fun under the sun and beat the summer heat.

Most common attractions in the province are found in Talisay City , located strategically between two cities, Bacolod and Silay. Rich in culture and history and natural resources such as the  Ruins of Don Mariano  Lacson,  which is very accessible from the main highway connecting Lacson Street or the airport road, with well manicured lawn, people get to take pictures with a sight to behold. The  ruins itself plays a big role in telling the people about history and the grand lifestyle of Negrenses and famous families of long ago, a story of love, war and power, very interesting is the place that we learn from the site guides Mars and James.

Natures Village Resort may be one of the oldest in terms of the years of existence in the city but is equipped with modern facilities which blends with its natural ambiance ,they serve  good food and has function halls best for meetings and conferences and a wide array of accommodation facilities for local and international tourist.

When we travel to the north towards the mountains, many nature lovers also visit Guerrero Farm now a mountain resort with a pool and cottages.

Most visited and has always been improving its facilities is Campuestohan Highland Resort at the foot of Mt. Mandalagan mountain range, which is abundant with spring water, a haven for bikers .

I am always amazed with new things I see at Campuestohan Highland Resort, showing  guests to the famous resort, the latest attraction is the wave pool at 3,500 square meters, considered to be the biggest in the Visayas, the first in Negros Island. While taking pictures, i heard the loud 'toot' which sounded familiar like that of the ferry boat about to leave. It was an alarm that was familiar to kids and meant that they had to run towards the pool and the waves was about to begin, then you see water splash children young and old in their swim wear cheering as they met the waves. It is an exciting experience and you can really say that this is where the mountain meets the sea, the wave goes on for thirty minutes, which is the very reason why picnic huts are occupied and rooms on weekdays are filled up. They also have a replica of a shark hanged as if showing that the beach 'pool' is safe without one, yet it has become a spot for selfies.
There is another  housed designed  with a shark  which is soon to open for souvenir and coffee and a small food counter. Then you see a windmill house where rooms will be added to be  rented out by guests at the third to fifth floor,  plus a ferries wheel behind it soon.
Even on a summer night, the wind is cold,  teepees which accommodates six persons are air conditioned and has cable television with picnic tables outside, Bonita huts is for family bonding as you sleep on a large bed, you can try a chair massage to complete a relaxing vacation.
The themed resort has a  rope course, zip line, horseback riding, sky bicycle, hamster, trampoline, mini train, grand carousel and soon the water park will be complete making your stay at the resort a memorable and full of groufies  and selfies.
