Speakers

This three day activity at Natures Village Resort is themed ‘One World, One Family’ with international resource speakers from the United States of America, Malaysia, Portugal, France, Japan and the Philippines. Keynote Speaker is Mr. Mr. Rashidi Hasbullah, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia to speak on ‘Homestays: Positive Contribution to Cross Cultural Understanding and Inclusive Growth. There will be global presentations on Homestay Standards: Global Outlook, Local Charm on ASEAN, Europe, Americas and Vietnam. Homestay Best Practices and Sustaining Earth, Heart and Hospitality on Japan, Malaysia, France and the Philippines with talks on Homestay Marketing and Promotions country presentations by France, Indonesia and the Philippines. Participants will also go on a tour of Rapha Valley Nature Homestays, Mays Garden City Homestay and Penalosa Organic Farm Homestay.

Vegetables keep us healthy and strong and a must for children, young and old to eat specially this Christmas season. The 12^th National Vegetable Congress and Expo is in Bacolod scheduled December 3-8, 2014 brought to us by the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental in partnership with the Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  There will be plenary sessions at the Bacolod Pavillion Hotel on the Roadmap for Competitive Agriculture on One ASEAN Economy, Impact of Climate Change on Agriculture, High Value Crop Development, Organic Farming, and Creating Opportunities for Subsistence Farmers and their Children with Director Jennifer Remoquillo, National Coordinator HVCDP-Department of Agriculture.  An expo will be held at the Negros Farmers Market at Magsaysay Street starting tomorrow until Sunday, December 7, 2014. To highlight the event, participants of the congress will go on a familiarization tour of Negros farms with lectures on Organic Farming and SEED Companies.

Nativity at CSAB

Recently Colegio San Agustin Bacolod began the Christmas Season with the Lucenarium known as the Christmas lights on with  a presentation of talents through a  cantata, hip hop and contemporary dance, vocal duet and a video showcasing different departments of the school, this is an annual activity of lighting the Christmas tree and lanterns with a display of fireworks. This is a way of reminding the students and the whole CSAB family on the true meaning of Christmas.
